Mycologists possess the ability to clone this mutation and gradually stabilize it into a distinct strain using various techniques.
Lipa Yai mushrooms originate from the small village of Lipa Yai on Koh Samui island. While they share similarities with the Koh Samui Super Strain (KSSS), also known as KS, there are notable differences between the two. Koh Samui is renowned for producing short and stout mushrooms, commonly referred to as “”fatties,”” whereas Lipa Yai mushrooms tend to be taller and more slender. Despite their slender appearance, Lipa Yai specimens are not small in size; they are medium to large mushrooms with saucer-like caps that exhibit shades of light and dark brown.”
